Kintsugi Resilience™

Your Healing Journey

The Kintsugi Resilience™ is a psycho-spiritual and trauma-informed formation experience rooted in the philosophy of Kintsugi—embracing brokenness as a path to beauty, growth, and purpose. Designed for chaplains, spiritual caregivers, and lay practitioners, this Bible-centered program integrates theological reflection, pastoral care principles, and evidence-based practices such as REBT, narrative work, and Kintsugi Resilience exercises.

Every person carries unseen cracks.

Grief. Trauma. Burnout. Fractured relationships. Shame.

The quiet disorientation of a life transition you didn’t choose.

These wounds don’t stay contained to the mind and body. They reach the human spirit — the part of us that asks who am I now, and what is this pain for?

Most approaches to healing stop at symptom reduction. Kintsugi Resilience starts there and keeps going. It’s a formation process — one that restores identity, cultivates resilience, and awakens wisdom.

The goal is not to erase the cracks.

It is to discover what they can teach us about who we are becoming.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold — not hiding the fracture, but illuminating it, so the break becomes part of the piece’s beauty and history.

Kintsugi Resilience™ is a psycho-spiritual formation approach built on that same conviction: brokenness, rightly explored, becomes a source of meaning, compassion, and wisdom.

It brings together five integrated disciplines:

  • Narrative Practice — exploring the stories you’ve been living inside, and learning to re-author them
  • Pastoral REBT — examining the beliefs that shape how you interpret and respond to what’s happened to you
  • Wound Mapping — understanding the patterns and adaptations your wounds have formed in you
  • Attachment Theory — healing the relational blueprints that were written early and run deep
  • Compassionate Presence — the sacred practice of being witnessed, not fixed

This isn’t therapy, and it isn’t a self-help framework. It’s formation — a guided journey of identity, community, and spiritual growth, grounded in the conviction that you were made in the image of God, and that your value was never defined by your wounds in the first place.

A Journey Through Seven Stations

Kintsugi Resilience™ unfolds across seven stations, each one inviting you into a new pilgrim identity as you move from where you’ve been to who you’re becoming:

Station Pilgrim Identity
1. The Story We Carry Story Teller

3. The Lies We Believe Belief Challenger
