Community Care Chaplains will host “Winter Kintsugi: Embracing the Broken and Beautiful,” an exclusive, invitation-only Case Conference, on December 13, 2025. Running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific, this unique gathering invites participants to explore the art of resilience, healing, and restoration through the lens of Kintsugi.
Taking inspiration from the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold, silver, or platinum lacquer to highlight rather than hide the fractures, this December conference will feature a series of breakout rooms, each designed as an immersive “Kintsugi experience.” Here, chaplains and participants will engage deeply with cases that span pastoral care, narrative presentations, and real-life challenges, all approached through the healing art of Kintsugi. The purpose is to embrace the beauty within brokenness and to draw meaningful insights from each unique “fracture” encountered in care.
This conference is an invitation to approach pastoral care with a Kintsugi mindset. Our goal is to encourage each attendee to see beauty in the broken, to recognize that every experience—no matter how difficult—can be part of a larger, healing journey.”
The event is exclusive to selected invitees, including chaplains, clinicians, and leaders in pastoral care who are dedicated to exploring deeper ways of support, resilience, and transformation. Attendees will work in small groups, guided by seasoned facilitators, to bring the concept of “golden repair” into case-based learning and narrative work.
