When You Can’t Feel Anymore

Sometimes the heart grows quiet—not with peace, but emptiness. Tears won’t come. Joy feels distant. You go through life, but something inside feels dull. This is emotional numbness—the soul too tired to feel.

Psalm 23 says, “He restores my soul.” David, a shepherd who knew weariness, isn’t talking about luxury—he’s pointing to a Shepherd who brings life back to a weary heart. Restoration is a return to breath, to vitality, to your true self.

God meets us in the quiet, like an artist gently gathering broken pieces. Slowly, grace flows through the cracks, bringing color where there was gray, pulse where there was none.

Prayer:
Shepherd of my soul, when I can’t feel You or even myself, stay close. Restore me—not to who I was, but to the life You are shaping within me. Amen.
