Beginning Again, Gently

A new season does not erase what you are carrying. Bills are still due. Decisions still wait. Some wounds still ache. Beginning again is not about pretending life is lighter. It is about recognizing that you are not facing it alone.

Lamentations was written in the aftermath of loss, and still it says, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22–23).

This is not abstract hope. It is daily provision. Mercy arrives each morning because life asks something of us each day. God’s faithfulness meets us in unfinished work, strained relationships, and quiet persistence.

Beginning again means trusting that today has enough grace for today. No more is required.

Prayer

God, this day feels full already. Meet me where I am. Give me the mercy I need for today and the courage to keep going. Amen.
