When You Forget You’re Enough

There are days when your heart feels empty—when you’ve given so much, waited so long, or tried so hard, only to feel unseen. The love you hoped for, the affirmation you needed, the care you poured out—it all feels one-sided. And somewhere in the quiet ache of unmet needs, you start to wonder if maybe you’re just… not enough.

But hear this gentle truth: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)

Your worth was never built on how others treat you, or how much you accomplish, or whether someone finally notices your effort. Your worth is rooted in the One who created you, calls you His own, and never forgets your name.

Like Kintsugi—the art of mending broken pottery with gold—God doesn’t hide your cracks; He fills them with His love. The places where you feel most overlooked or unfulfilled can become the very spaces where His presence shines the brightest.

You haven’t lost your worth. You’ve just been looking for it in places that could never hold it. God has never stopped seeing you, loving you, or calling you enough.

Prayer:
Lord, when I forget my worth, remind me that I am Yours. Fill the hollow spaces left by unmet needs with Your presence. Help me see the beauty You’ve been crafting all along, even in the cracks. Amen.
